About

Growing up without a mother was challenging. Being the eldest of four children and assisting her father with raising her siblings while he worked, forced her to learn and grow quickly. Thompson couldn't afford to be immature, foolish, and carefree like most of her peers.

In this book, Thompson shares a few nuggets of wisdom that she has gathered throughout her journey in life. She hopes that by being transparent, she encourages others to become vulnerable, yet confident enough to share their experiences to help someone else avoid those same pitfalls.

A vision was birthed with the goal of rebuilding the concept of unity and community: one woman, one family at a time. Jamie encourages women to discover and develop their individual gifts and talents, using them to teach and support one another. The idea of "a better me is a better we" inspires women to pour into themselves that which they often pour into those they love and care for.
