About

Mandy may be the youngest of her sisters, but she is determined to become the one they can depend on. After finding what she believes is the perfect piece of land outside Bonners Ferry, Idaho, she dreams of building a safe and lasting home for the only family she has left. But her plans are threatened when she discovers a stubborn young man already building a cabin on the land she claims as her own.

Trace wants nothing more than to be left alone. After losing his parents and his home through a devastating betrayal, his only concern is protecting his wounded younger sister and carving out a quiet life far from anyone who might hurt them again. But Mandy refuses to walk away, and Trace refuses to surrender the land.

With neither willing to give in, they agree to a challenge: whoever finishes building a house first will earn the right to stay.

As Mandy and Trace race to create homes of their own, their anger slowly gives way to understanding, and attraction begins to grow between two people carrying deep wounds. But before they can build a future together, they must learn to forgive the past, trust again, and discover that sometimes the strongest home is not made of timber and nails, but of faith, love, and family.
