In a split second, she's forced to abandon her corporate accounting life when she's suddenly dropped into an unfamiliar world. This new world is one full of wild magic, mysterious cults... and a tyrant king hell-bent on making Rhea's magic his own.
Between the elves, fairies, and demons, Rhea feels out of place most everywhere she turns. Though she manages to make new friends, her magic even puts them in danger, and she quickly learns that studying magic isn't as simple as she thought. Rhea must travel the western continent to find a mentor, someone who is willing to take on the risk of a volatile novice mage. And someone who isn't afraid of King Stefan.
But when the pressure of her magic becomes too much as King Stefan hunts her down, Rhea has to decide: Will she let her magic consume her, or learn to wield it like the great mages of the past to protect her chosen family?
MOONSHADOW is the first of a duology by debut author Beth Cohen.
