Dimgba's family was a family of talented champions with brilliant destinies. Nwuka, Dimgba's only son, had a shining star and was destined to succeed in life. His problem started with the death of his mother, Ugomma and the entrance of a stepmother, Adaugo.
Adaugo was one of those women who found it difficult to have affection for other people's children except theirs. Her hatred and jealousy led her to commit an atrocious act, even after she had been warned against it and the consequence of her action was severe.
This story would teach the reader the importance of accepting one another no matter our personal feelings. Love is life and endures all.
The book is suitable for kids between the ages of 8 and 15. There is an Igbo language version of the book as well.
