It is always helpful to a reader to understand why an author has included certain elements in their book. It is no different when we read the Scriptures. My book, That You May Believe- The Miracles of Jesus in the Book of John, helps you to navigate the miracles in the Gospel of John and understand why John chose these particular miracles in light of his purpose statement for these miracles- "...that you may believe..." (Jn. 20: 30-31). My book provides you with:
• A basic understanding of miracles, as described in the Bible
• Detailed highlights of each miracle in the Book of John
• Insights into why John chose each of the miracles in the light of his purpose statement
• How each miracle impacts our lives today.
About the Author:David Staggers (M.Div., Grace Theological Seminary) is a retired Mechanical Engineer with a heart for studying the Word of God and writing. Along with his engineering vocation, David was also a church planter working on the Purdue University-Ft. Wayne campus and later taught at Crossroads Bible College in Indianapolis. David and his wife, Melodee, live north of Atlanta, to be close to their grandkids, and he teaches at their church's Bible institute.
