What is it like today for the woman with a drinking problem? How does she know when she has crossed the fine line between social drinking and addiction? What can she do to help herself, and what can her family do to help her? Through an extensive and intimate series of interviews in halfway houses, women's groups, and with individuals across the country, Edith Lynn Hornik-Beer has uncovered the social dynamics that create problem-drinking among women. She has also visited with spouses and children who have suffered because of a wife's and/or a mother's addiction. She has gathered a list of resources which will help a woman with a drinking problem pick up the pieces.
