About
Sloane Mercer spent four years making sure of it -
keeping her distance, staying professional, never letting herself look too long
at the man who saw her more clearly than his own son ever did.
Then Tyler ended things.
And Maddox Cole called with a job offer.
Now she's in his conference room twice a week,
drinking the coffee he has waiting before she arrives,
pretending she doesn't notice the way he looks at her
when he thinks she isn't watching.
She knows what this is.
She knows exactly how wrong it is.
She knows the fallout of taking the job anyway.
