Richard hasn't been able to move on after the passing of his wife. Sam can't seem to let go after the death of her mother. But the two of them blame one another for the distance between them. After Sam's defiant behavior in school leads to her suspension, Richard has the idea to go back to his hometown for the holidays. Once arriving back in Lebanon, Richard's life turns upside down when he reconnects with an old flame, pushing Sam further and further away. With Christmas right around the corner, Richard tries to make things right, but he needs a little help. Abner, a mysterious man who seems to be well-known within the community, offers to guide Richard and his family into good tidings of comfort and joy. Can Richard reconnect with his daughter?
