About

The aim of the 'Useful Dictionary of Derived Words' is to help you increase your vocabulary. In this dictionary, each entry consists of a main entry word in BOLD CAPITAL letters followed by words that are derived from that base word. For example, the main entry word CONSIDER is followed by words that are derived from that base word such as considered, considering, considerable, considerably, considerate, considerately, consideration, inconsiderable, inconsiderate, inconsiderately. Concise definitions and examples in full sentences are given to show the main meanings and uses of every word that is included. The dictionary contains nearly 3,000 main entry words and about 10,000 derived words. This dictionary has been compiled to help expand learners' vocabulary, so that they will become more confident in writing and speaking English.
