First loves and fistfights. Best friends and break-ups. Nights of elation and mornings of regret. You remember the feeling.
In the summer leading to high school, a bb gun accident ignites a thirteen-year-old boy's fascination with his mortality, while propelling him into the orbit of a band of rebellious upperclassmen. As his mother's breakup from an abusive boyfriend forces her to work overtime, his newfound freedom exposes a world that is more complex, more painful, and more human than he's equipped to handle.
It's the chaos, that comes once, disillusioned with our idols, connected through our music, consumed hopelessly by love, but leaves an indelible mark. We watch as his idealized past and the visceral pain of his bb wound guide him through feelings of fear, excitement, and everything in between, hoping he finds a better path before it destroys him.
