Aisha Chaudry, a recent immigrant and mother of two, articles at a legal aid clinic. Her client, a deaf Angolan father faces criminal charges and possible deportation. A complicated case, Aisha must overcome her inexperience and a demanding home life to keep her client's family together.

Christine Wiseman is the shining star in her family. The first lawyer, they have high hopes for her. But Christine's disgruntled with her new found life.
