18-year-old Sumera is an ambitious high school student who has dreams of making a name for herself. However, her world comes crashing down when she is physically and sexually assaulted by an acquaintance on her way home from work. From a strict Pakistani background, Sumera not only has to deal with the trauma of the attack but also the knowledge of how it will impact her family and their reputation within the community. When it becomes clear that the authorities cannot help her, Sumera is unable to cope on her own and confides in her best friends. Finding strength in numbers, these four girls - from different cultural backgrounds - join forces to face the world together and to plot revenge on Sumera's attacker.
Sumera is introduced to Nicolas, and though her colleague, Charlotte, acts strangely when he comes around, Sumera ignores her behavior. When Sumera is left out in the cold by her old crush, Nicolas offers her a ride home that takes a horrible turn.
After Sumera flees, Charlotte finds her in a bus shed. Sumera insists that no one can know and, when she returns home, tells her parents she's late because her coat and phone were stolen. Later that night, she receives a chilling message.
In the aftermath, Sumera struggles to put on a brave face and continue as normal. After a run-in with Nicolas, Sumera admits to her friends what happened, and they band together to keep the assault a secret. However, Nicolas isn't done with Sumera.
Sumera tells her friends about the threats from Nicolas. As she tries to meet Nicolas' demands, Anila and Ambar attempt to figure out a solution their own way. As Anila shadows Nicolas, she discovers a shocking secret between him and Charlotte.
Sumera realizes she needs to erase the photos Nicolas has in order to stop his harassment-and they need to get into his apartment to do so. She and Charlotte have a painful reconciliation. Sumera learns the truth behind Wasim's rumors.
The girls break into Nicolas' home. They access his computer and discover folders of violent photos of different girls-but Nicolas isn't visible in them. Sumera finds the photos of herself, but her friends don't think they should be deleted.
Charlotte pressures Sumera to ask her brother to decrypt Nicolas' hard drive. Sumera and Atif have a heart to heart about her assault. Desperate and enraged, Nicolas takes action against Sumera, and the girls ask Atif for help.
Nicolas desperately tries to get Sumera to admit where the drive is. Sumera tries to make an escape. Charlotte, Anila, and Ambar confront Nicolas. In the scuffle, Sumera gets captured again; she must fight for her life to escape once and for all.
